Kitchen Utensils
For as we all know Kitchen Utensils is the most important tools inside our kitchen, just imagine scooping hot foods with your own hand or eating in a piece of paper, but thanks to our Kitchen Utensils we won't experience that. with these tools we will able to prepare our foods fast and easy, here are some example of our kitchen utensils and their definitions which fill our cooking needs:

Spatula - also called a turner with a long handle and broad flat edge used for lifting, spatula is also known as a tosser which refers to the tossing of omelet's and pancakes.



Cutting Board - is a durable board used to place materials or food on to be cut, the most common is the kitchen cutting board use for preparing food, but other types also used for cutting raw materials such as leather or plastic. Kitchen cutting board are often made of wood or plastic but there are also made of glass, steel and marble which are easier to clean than wood and plastic but tend to damage the knives.


Measuring Cup - is a standard cup used for measuring liquid or dry ingredients with marks to show fractional amounts and a lip for pouring, it is usually used for cooking which require exact measurement





Peeler - is a metal blade attached to a wooden, metal, or plastic handle that is used for removing or peeling the outer skin of the vegetable frequently potatoes and fruits such as apples, pears, etc.



Tongs - is a tool used for lifting or taking hold objects, which is commonly used in our kitchen for lifting and taking hold hot foods. Consist of two long metal or wooden arms, joined with a hinge or metal trip at one end.




Strainer - is used for retaining solid pieces while a liquid passes through, it is usually made in stainless steel.



Slotted Spoon - is a tool used in food preparation, term can be use to describe any spoon with slots, holes or other opening in the bowl of the spoon which let liquid pass through while preserving the larger solids on top. It is typically used to retrieve items from a cooking liquid while preserving the liquid in the pot.
